EGX 2018: Reggie Reviews Highlights

Good day gamers, Reggie here, Today marks Reggie Reviews one week anniversary of EGX 2018. Spoilers... It was awesome! With Reggie Reviews very own Ambear and her significant other Ryan, we embarked on a two day quest to grab as much coverage as possible!

Below is a video of our findings:

We all opted to cover more Indie and small developer titles than AAA, which I’m sure a lot of our readers will agree are the jewel in the EGX crown year in year out. We grabbed interviews from the makers of Eagle Island, Soundfall, Thea 2 and an exclusive with none other than industry veteran Michael Schade, CEO of Rockfish Studios.

Michael was kind enough to give Reggie Reviews an early access hands on with Everspace for Nintendo Switch. Whilst Everspace is currently out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, the title is being ported to Unreal Engine 4 as well as controller optimisations for it’s Nintendo outing.

The Interview starts at 2.30 into the video. Other highlights include SEGAs Left Field Collection which is a culmination of the craziest ‘out of the box’ thinking from some of the Indie scenes best.

And of course, no EGX highlight reel would be complete without some AAA coverage. Kingdom Hearts III, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, Pokemon Let’s GO!, Metro Exodus and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey were among the ranks at EGX 2018. We decided to not cover the Bandai Namco area due to already covering these titles just a couple of weeks ago. Readers can find our Bandai Namco Preview Event coverage HERE!

We hope our loyal readers enjoy the video as much as we did making it. Thank you for all of your support so far, It is a dream come true writing and covering OUR industry for you all.
